Farewell Celebration for Father Demos

As many of you have heard, Father Demos will be leaving St. Benedict and St. Pius Parishes on June 1, 2026, to begin a new assignment at Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton. Over the past four years, Father Demos has been a tremendous blessing to our parish communities. Through his leadership, faith, kindness, and dedication, he has helped strengthen our parish family and deepen our love for Christ and one another.

We invite all parishioners to join us as we come together to thank Father Demos for his years of faithful service and wish him well in his new ministry. Please join us on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at St. Benedict Parish Lower Hall at 4:00pm – 7:00pm. There will be food, fun, fellowship and karaoke as we celebrate Father Demos and share our gratitude for all he has done for our parish community. Please bring a dish to pass and RSVP to Laura at 920-434-2024 by May 11, 2026.

Let us continue to keep Father Demos in our prayers as he begins this new chapter in his priestly ministry. We are grateful for his time with us and wish him many blessings in the years ahead.

Parish Outreach: Serving at the Men and Women’s Shelters

St. Pius Parish is grateful to have had the opportunity to serve at both the men’s shelter in November and the women’s homeless shelter in December. These outreach efforts reflect our continued commitment to living out our faith through service, compassion, and community support.

During these visits, parish volunteers came together to provide meals, fellowship, and encouragement to those experiencing difficult circumstances. It was a meaningful reminder of the importance of kindness and human connection.

We are thankful for the volunteers who generously gave their time and hearts to this ministry, as well as those who supported these efforts through prayer and encouragement. Your willingness to serve truly embodies the mission of our parish.

Fiat Chalice Program

The Fiat Chalice Program is a meaningful way for families to pray for more priests and religious leaders in our diocese. Our church needs dedicated priests, and this program allows us to support and encourage those discerning a vocation to the priesthood or religious life. Each week, we invite volunteers and families to take home a special blessed chalice, a powerful symbol of the priesthood, and dedicate time to praying for more vocations. While the chalice is in your home, your family is encouraged to pray together, fostering a deeper connection to faith and demonstrating support for those considering a life of service in the Church.

Once a family receives the chalice, they are encouraged to place it in a place of honor within their home. Throughout the week, during daily prayer—whether in the morning, at bedtime, or during meals—the family prays for more individuals to answer the call to religious vocations. The following Sunday or Saturday before mass, the chalice is returned to its designated place (the sacristy) so the priest knows it has been brought back and can be given to the next family.

This program will continue through 2025, and we welcome all families to participate. A sign-up sheet is available at the back of the church.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who have already taken part in this special program. Your prayers and commitment are deeply appreciated. Below are some pictures of the families who have participated in this faith-filled experience.
