Good Friday and Happy Easter
On this solemn Good Friday, we reflect deeply on the immense sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who gave His life out of boundless love to redeem us from sin. It is a day to sit in the stillness of His suffering and to find hope in the promise of resurrection. As we look ahead to Easter, we rejoice in the truth that He is Risen! The Resurrection of Jesus brings with it the fulfillment of so many of God’s promises—of new life, eternal hope, and unending love. I pray that Jesus may live in all our hearts, and that we may always embrace Him with love and gratitude. May His love and His peace fill our hearts, our lives, our homes, and our families. God bless each and every one of you and your loved ones. Happy Easter! The attached photos capture the reverence and beauty of our Good Friday observance—moments of prayer, reflection, and sacred symbolism that lead our hearts toward the joy of the Resurrection.
We extend heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated volunteers who so generously shared their time, talent, and treasures to enhance our Easter season. A special thank you to those who decorated the church so beautifully—your hard work, creativity, and love have transformed our worship space into something truly special. Without your help, this would not have been possible. We truly appreciate you, and may God bless you for all you do!
Thank you also to the generous parishioners who donated toward the Easter flowers in memory of loved ones. Your thoughtful gifts have added beauty and meaning to our celebration of the Resurrection.
Holy Thursday Mass
Here are some photos from the Holy Thursday Mass, which included a beautiful reenactment of the Last Supper. During the Mass, Father Demos washed the feet of 12 Apostles—six from St. Pius and six from St. Benedict—following the tradition of Christ’s humble act of service. Following the liturgy, Father Demos and the Apostles reenacted the Last Supper, bringing this sacred moment to life for the congregation. Also pictured are the three Winter boys assisting Father in the blessing of the holy oils, an important part of the Holy Thursday celebration.
Parishioners decorating the church for Christmas
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the faithful parishioners who dedicated their time and effort to decorate the church for the holy season of Christmas. Your work has beautifully prepared our sacred space to reflect the joy and glory of Christ’s birth.
