The Fiat Chalice Program is a meaningful way for families to pray for more priests and religious leaders in our diocese. Our church needs dedicated priests, and this program allows us to support and encourage those discerning a vocation to the priesthood or religious life. Each week, we invite volunteers and families to take home a special blessed chalice, a powerful symbol of the priesthood, and dedicate time to praying for more vocations. While the chalice is in your home, your family is encouraged to pray together, fostering a deeper connection to faith and demonstrating support for those considering a life of service in the Church.
Once a family receives the chalice, they are encouraged to place it in a place of honor within their home. Throughout the week, during daily prayer—whether in the morning, at bedtime, or during meals—the family prays for more individuals to answer the call to religious vocations. The following Sunday, the chalice is returned to its designated place so the priest knows it has been brought back and can be given to the next family.
This program will continue through 2025, and we welcome all families to participate. A sign-up sheet is available at the back of the church.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who have already taken part in this special program. Your prayers and commitment are deeply appreciated. Below are some pictures of the families who have participated in this faith-filled experience.
